"Animal" was released on Jan. 5, 2010 and quickly soared to the number one spot. The album's sound is pop meets techno or Lady Gaga meets Cascada. It is very upbeat with quirky lyrics, and it makes you want to dance.
Ke$ha, a Nashville, Tenn. native, is a high school dropout who moved to Los Angeles at age 17 to pursue a singing career.
Her first big break was with Dr. Luke, who has worked with artists such as Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, Flo Rida and Katy Perry. Dr. Luke gave Ke$ha the chance to sing the female vocals on Flo Rida's 2009 hit "Right Round."
Ke$ha is a crazy fun-loving 22-year-old who loves to party. She can tell you crazy stories including the time she puked in Paris Hilton's closet at a party or the time she broke into Prince's house to give him her demo tape. Many of the songs on the album are related to her crazy nights out.
The majority of the songs on "Animal" are enthusiastic dance songs. The popular hit "Tik Tok" is a fast paced fun dance mix that can be listened to at a party or club or when getting ready for a night on the town.
"Take it off," another techno-sounding song, is about getting out on the town and having a good time. This song will get you moving, without a doubt.
"Kiss N Tell" is a song that Ke$ha wrote about a cheating ex-boyfriend. It is definitely a catchy "girl power" song.
Ke$ha's sound is very modern and can be easily compared to that of Lady Gaga. Her music is upbeat, fun, and energetic. Ke$ha's music would cater to the 15- to 24-year-old age group.
The majority of the songs on the album are fast-paced; it would have been nice to see more of a variety throughout the album, maybe a few slow songs here and there.
Some of Ke$ha's songs may not be acceptable for a younger crowd, as she talks about sex and alcohol in many of her songs. Hopefully Ke$ha will not follow in the path of celebrity party girls such as Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
I'm sure we will be hearing a lot more about her in the near future, but hopefully it will be for her talent and not her partying.

Nice review, like the release. Simple, but people love it, and she will use her chance.

This singer is using Native American culture in the form of her performances, her website, etc... to express herself.. she is a cultural rapist, as ugly as that sounds, think about it. (Continued…)
