Paranormal Activity tells the story of a young couple, Katie and Micah, who set up video cameras to document the strange happenings in their San Diego home.

During the first 30 minutes of Paranormal Activity, you'll wonder what could possibly be so scary about this movie that for the past two weeks, its been all over people's Facebook statuses and critics have called it one of the "scariest movies ever."

During the last 30 minutes of the movie, you'll realize that this isn't your typical scary movie.

Paranormal Activity is told as a mock documentary. The same way the movie The Blair Witch Project terrified people in 1999, Paranormal Activity will scare you today. Or worse.

The movie starts out very slow lyand dully. A young couple, Katie and Micah, estimated to be in their mid- to late-20s, live in a suburban home in San Diego.

Katie has said that there has been "something," possibly a ghost that has been bothering her since she was eight years old. Micah buys a fancy camera to record them in their sleep to see if anything happens.

Nothing notable happens in the first couple nights. The couple talks to a psychic who tells them there is a spirit that has been with Katie since she was a little girl. The psychic also tells them that the spirit feeds off of negative energy.

As the movie goes on, Micah becomes more and more skeptical of his girlfriends ghost and starts to swear at it and call it names. This provides for a few good laughs.

Micah seems to anger the spirit with his negative energy. As the nights go on, more and more terrifying things happen to the couple.

Eventually Micah truly believes that something is in his house and he won't stop until he gets to the bottom of it. Katie begs him to stop recording numerous times and fears that he is making the force mad by taunting it.

After what seemed like 90 minutes into the movie, about the time the viewer thinks he or she wasted $10, it starts to get very good.

Each night of filming Katie and Micah's sleep, something different happens. This ranges from the door slamming shut to things falling in the house.

The feeling you get when watching this movie is different than a typical horror film. Many times throughout this movie I had to remind myself it was fictional because of the style of filming that it was done in makes it seem so real.

I thought it was really scary, 10 mins into the movie i was about to change it cause it was slow, but then it started to get creepy, I guess its so scary because it manifest your own ideas about what might be standing at the foot of the bed, invisible creeping under your bedsheet or watchin you sleep
