Seniors should leave college with no regrets

September 2005. Freshman year. It seemed that at this point in time, graduating from St. John Fisher was decades away. Now that it is only a few weeks around the corner, I am going to be giving my final goodbye to you, Fisher.
You have given me countless hangovers, sleepless nights of studying and homework, and best friends. I also never thought that you could ever have parking problems due to our tuition, but you never cease to amaze me. Not only has the parking situation never changed, but it actually worsened over the years.
I do want to thank you, however, for giving me the pleasure of taking a few classes with Dr. James Seward. I felt that he was the most influential professor at Fisher and just a great person all around.
He has taught me vast amounts of useful information that will most certainly help me as a professional after I graduate. If there were one professor that I would recommend to any student, no matter what they are studying, it would hands down be Dr. Seward.
As I look back on my four years, it is hard to say whether or not I have any regrets. I have done some idiotic things here, but I can honestly say that there is not one thing that I regret or that I would take back. St. John Fisher has been the stepping-stone to my future and has molded me to the person that I am today.
If I had to sign off with one last word of advice to the underclassmen and to anyone else that plans on attending Fisher in the future, it would be don't hold anything back and make the most out of your college experience. If there are opportunities to go out, take them. If a girl asks you out on a date, or vise versa, go out with them.
Study hard and play harder. I am most certainly not telling you to skip classes, or don't hand in your homework, or skip tests, but make sure you have fun.
The one thing that I don't want you to do is look back on your college experience and wish you had gone out more, or wish you had more fun. Take advantage of college because it's going to go fast, trust me.
In the words of musican Tom Petty, "you have four years to be irresponsible here. Relax. Work is for people with jobs. You'll never remember class time, but you'll remember time you wasted hanging out with your friends. So, stay out late. Go out on a Tuesday with your friends when you have a paper due Wednesday. Spend money you don't have. Drink 'til sunrise. The work never ends, but college does."
