Sometimes it's just not easy juggling a million activities at once, such as being a full-time nursing student, working a part-time job, and trying to get your dog to be a little more obedient, but somehow Lara Warren finds a way to do it.

As a senior nursing student that is anxiously awaiting gradation in May, Lara is taking a full load of courses as well as working a couple of days a week at a local coffee shop. And although she really enjoys the nursing program here at Fisher, Lara dreams of being a stay home mom and owning her own wedding planning and catering business.

"I've always wanted to have a business of my own and plan weddings for people," Warren said. "And I decided that I can plan the wedding and since my brother is such a good cook, he can do the catering portion of the business - he just doesn't know I have this plan yet."

On the rare occasion that Lara has some free time in her schedule, she really enjoys making cards and being crafty, along with cooking and baking. There is nothing in particular that she likes baking; she enjoys making pretty much everything.

"I especially love to cook when I'm doing it for someone else," Warren said.

Lara also enjoys taking her dog, Bear, for long walks and trying to make him a little bit more obedient. However, that has proven to be a more daunting task than finding a parking spot at 10 a.m. here in the Fisher commuter parking lot.

Although Lara really enjoys the small campus here at Fisher and the new nursing building with all the new things, she finds that despite how small the campus is, there is a severe lack of communication between most of the people on the campus.

"Students, the administrative offices, and professors - everyone," Warren said. "No one ever seems to know what is going on around here. I know that communication is a common problem everywhere, but I still don't like it."

And with a small chuckle, she also said how much she loved trying to find a parking spot every day at school.

"But that's not even worth mentioning as my least favorite thing about Fisher since it's a problem that will never be solved."
