Cardinals edged by Naz in E8 finals

Apparently, the third time wasn't the charm.
St. John Fisher College was edged by Nazareth, 64-63, on Saturday afternoon in the Empire 8 Conference Championship finals.
It was the third time the Cardinals have lost to the Golden Flyers this season. The loss also ended Fisher's five year reign on the Empire 8 title.
Senior Justin Beigel was the leading scorer for the Cardinals with 23 points. Tournament MVP Ryan McAdam led the Flyers with 18.
The last team to win the Empire 8 besides the Cardinals was Ithaca College in 2002.
