2) Riding the tube (subway) everyday isn't quite as glam as I imagined. I have a cold, and have been unintentionally groped on more than one occasion.
3) Free champagne is great. (I love my internship)
4) The Union Jack isn't hung quite as often or nearly as obnoxiously as the US flag is.
5) A package of Ramen (at 8 pence a piece) and a jar of natural super chunky peanut butter goes a long way.
6) Feeding ducks is fun no matter what country you go to.
7) Brits tend to break out in song (namely "Livin' in America") when they find out your nationality. This occurs in the tube station…pubs…work…
8) There are hardly ever ice cubes here, unless you're being served alcohol, in which it's just a sneaky trick.
9) It's not a good idea to make amusing yet inappropriate comments about Cockfoster Station on the tube…where everyone is silent.
10) The exchange rate sucks, so buying gold strappy heels for 50 pounds…is really like a hundred bucks. I haven't worn them yet but God, they're cute.
11) The word 'pants' actually means underwear, so it's rude to discuss said 'pants' unless in intimate conversation.
12) There is absolutely nothing in this world that is as beautiful as Big Ben at night…and I'm probably never coming home.
